We launched our 2010 portfolio at the onset of the World Cup, its hype, and the expected turnout of visitors to our shores as well as newspaper reports of bookings that had been made in villas for unbelievable fees. The rates as well as minimum stays were largely determined by this hype and our villa owners’ expectations, and also by us listening to what the market seemed to be telling us. We would like to thank you for your valuable feedback, which has confirmed our instincts that the rates offered were simply way too high. We have responded to this and approached all our villa owners explaining how we wish to promote responsible and sustainable tourism. We are pleased to say that our villa prices have come down by as much as 70%!
